Congenital Heart Disease is considered to be the most common birth defect, and is a leading cause of birth-defect related deaths worldwide. Despite the fact that CHD affects millions of families, a relatively small amount of funding is currently available for parent/patient educational services, research, and support.
We miss you so much Colin....we remember you this week and always.

ReplyDeleteI just read the above posting that it is CHD Defect Awareness Week and it took me to last year in Boston for Colin's surgeries. He was such a fighter and we miss you so very much.

It was one year ago yesterday that we all came to Children's in Boston with such high hopes for Colin. I thought for sure that they would be able to correct his defect. But it was not meant to be.
